Network Engineer Jr

Requirements:

• Position is located in Germany and will be an extension of the Network team located at DeCA Headquarters in Va. You will provide onsite support for network and telephony issues at the Defense Commissary Agency locations in Germany.
• Working closely with the Government, Store staff, German Telcom, other service providers and Network & VOIP Engineers in the US. Duties will include but are not limited to: responding to outages, answering calls, working remedy Tickets, troubleshooting network issues with Network and VOIP Senior Engineers and assisting with Network equipment refresh.
• You will help ensure service level agreements are met while providing courteous support for our customers. Prior telcom and Cisco network experience required. Service desk and desktop support experience is a plus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical Training (Computer Science or a related field) recommended.
• Motivated self-starter
• Minimum of 5 years working in a Network Operations or Service Desk environment. Experience interacting with users to identify requirements and resolve network problems. Experience working cooperatively and communicating effectively with management and colleagues. Demonstrated record of delivering quality customer service and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Experience Troubleshooting Cisco Networks, Wireless and VoIP systems Knowledge of structured wiring systems and standards. Knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, Ethernet and Wireless LAN protocols.
