The SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) is a free tool for migrating files and folders from SharePoint on-premises or other cloud services to SharePoint Online. SPMT can also be used to migrate libraries, lists, and sites with minimal downtime and user impact.

The SPMT can transfer content from SharePoint on-premises Server; however, it does not support migration from one SharePoint Online tenant to another.
